5 Signs You Are Running a Toxic Workplace Environment
Toxic team culture can damage your mental health, productivity, and creativity.
We've all worked in a job where the workplace was super TOXIC, right? But are we able to see it when it's happening right under your own roof as an agency owner?
Here are some signs you may have a toxic work environment...
Gossip and Cliques
If you notice that your colleagues are always talking behind each other’s backs or forming cliques that exclude others, then that’s a major red flag. Even if it's not on purpose, some may click better with others & cause the rest to feel left out.
Blame game
If your colleagues or management are quick to point fingers and blame others for mistakes or problems, then that’s a clear sign of a toxic culture. Things can go wrong at anytime, but if there is no effort to come up with a solution together as a team, this is a bad sign.
High Turnover Rate
If you’re constantly losing team members, it could be a sign of a toxic culture. High turnover rates can be a symptom of poor management or a lack of opportunities for growth (this may include lack of salary appreciation!)
Micromanagement
If your agency’s leadership is constantly checking up on colleagues and micromanaging every aspect of their work, then that’s a sign of a toxic culture.
Unrealistic expectations
If your agency sets unrealistic goals or expects you to work long hours without proper compensation, then that’s a major red flag. This type of pressure will cause resentment & frustration among your team.
Toxic team culture can damage your mental health, productivity, and creativity.
If you have any one of these scenarios, it's time to NIP IT IN THE BUTT before it gets too late...
